SDWAN Architect

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements, project scope, and technical needs to develop network architectures, designs, and technology roadmaps aligned with organizational IT strategy.
• Lead and participate in solution design, implementation, and execution of network transformation projects.
• Work closely with customer IT and security teams to ensure solutions meet network, security, performance, and compliance requirements.
• Design and implement SD-WAN and Cloud WAN solutions, leveraging experience across multiple OEM platforms.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize SD-WAN, LAN, and WLAN technologies according to approved architecture and standards.
• Design and support Next-Generation LAN and Wireless environments.

• Architect and implement hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud network connectivity.
• Develop and implement IT/OT network segmentation strategies to improve security and operational resilience.
• Evaluate and integrate SASE and other modern network security architectures where applicable.
• Monitor solution performance, identify potential issues, and implement improvements to ensure availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex or escalated network issues and outages.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, application, and other IT teams to ensure seamless integration with existing environments.
• Work with network vendors and OEMs for technology evaluation, implementation, troubleshooting, and support.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network architecture, design, configuration, and operational documentation.
• Create and maintain SOPs, Knowledge Base (KB) articles, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and training to network and IT team members.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Strong experience in SD-WAN and Cloud WAN technologies.
• Hands-on experience with multiple SD-WAN OEM platforms.
• Strong knowledge of LAN, WLAN, and next-generation network architectures.
• Experience with hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud connectivity.
• Good understanding of IT/OT network segmentation and security principles.
• Familiarity with SASE platforms and Zero Trust networking concepts.
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, VPN, network security, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience in network architecture, solution design, and technical roadmapping.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with customer and internal IT teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, SD-WAN certifications, SASE/security certifications, or equivalent OEM certifications.
• Experience working with enterprise-scale network transformation projects.
• Experience interacting directly with customers, vendors, and technology partners.
